Reward Offered For Information On Tampa Business Burglaries

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Police detectives are seeking information on two business burglaries that have occurred in the University of South Florida area in January and again this week.

The first took place Jan. 4 at 2:31 a.m. Two people can be seen on a surveillance video using a brick paver to smash the front door of The Cut Barbershop at 902 W. Busch Blvd., Tampa. Once inside, they removed an ATM machine, loaded it into a white 2014-15 Volkswagen Passat and fled. Police have recovered the ATM machine.

Police believe the same duo broke into the Sprint store at 5004 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa, Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 2:24 a.m. The burglars used a long metal pry tool to force the door open and headed to the cash register but were unable to get any cash. Instead, they stole a Bluetooth speaker and, once again, fled the scene in a white Volkswagen Passat.

The suspects hide their bodies in dark clothing to conceal their identifies but anyone who recognizes them or has information on the burglaries is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to their arrest.
